These are the terms for the BassState app and for bassstate.com. They are short because the product is simple. If you use either, you agree to them.
1. What BassState is
BassState is an iOS app for focus, breath, rest and sound. A sensory reset for your nervous system. It is made and operated by OKTOANALYTICS LTD. (company number 11317162), trading as BassState (“we”, “us”), in the United Kingdom. This website introduces the app, hosts our writing and takes beta sign-ups.
2. No accounts
The app needs no account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to remember. Your sessions, habits, name and settings stay on your phone. How we handle data, in the app and on this site, is set out in the privacy policy.
3. Your licence to use the app
The app is licensed to you, not sold. Your licence is Apple’s standard End User Licence Agreement, which you accept when you download the app from the App Store. These terms add to it; they do not replace it.
4. Subscriptions
BassState has no paid tier today. When one launches, this is how it will work:
- Subscriptions are bought through Apple’s App Store and billed to your Apple ID.
- They renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- You cancel in your Apple ID settings: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- The price, the period and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules, not by us.
We will update this section when subscriptions go live.
5. Acceptable use
Use BassState for yourself. Do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, its sounds, its visuals or our writing. Do not use this site to send us spam, malware or someone else’s email address. Do not try to break, overload or probe the app or the site. We can withdraw access to the site from anyone who does.
6. Guidance, not medical advice
BassState is a wellness app, not a medical one. Nothing in the app or on this site is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Anything the app shows you about your body — your State, recovery, sleep — is a guide to your own patterns, not a clinical measure. If you have a health concern, speak to a doctor.
Breathwork and movement have real physical effects. You choose when to do them and you are responsible for doing them safely. Never hold your breath in or near water, while driving, or anywhere a fall could hurt you. Stop if anything hurts or feels wrong. If you are pregnant, or have a heart, lung, blood-pressure or seizure condition, check with a doctor first.
7. Our content
The app, its name, its sounds and visuals, and the writing on this site belong to BassState or to the artists who made them for us. Share links to our writing freely. Ask before reproducing anything else: hello@bassstate.com.
8. Availability and changes
We change BassState often. Features can be added, altered or removed, and the app or the site can be unavailable while we work on them. We will give notice in the app for anything material.
9. Liability
We provide BassState as it is. We do not promise it will suit every purpose or be free of faults. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Beyond that, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, or in the EU, you keep any consumer rights that apply where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
We will post updates here with a revised date, and flag material changes in the app before they take effect.
