Help with BassState

BassState is an iOS app for focus, breath, rest and sound. A sensory reset for your nervous system.

Your data

BassState needs no account. Your sessions, habits, name and settings live on your phone. If you connect Apple Health, its readings are processed on your phone too, and never transmitted.

To delete everything, delete the app, or open Settings → Privacy → Erase local data inside it. Usage analytics and crash reports are off until you opt in, and you can turn them off again in the same place.

Beta testers

If you are testing through TestFlight, the fastest route is TestFlight’s own feedback: take a screenshot in the app, tap the thumbnail, then Share → Share Beta Feedback. It reaches us with the build number and device attached. For anything longer, use the form above.

Questions

Do I need an Apple Watch?
For your State, yes — or another wearable that writes heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and sleep to Apple Health. Steps come from your phone. Every session, habit and sound in the app works without one; the Health tab simply tells you what is missing.
Why does BassState ask for Apple Health permission?
To read the four things behind your State — heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep and steps — and to write your finished sessions back as Mindful Minutes and Mind & Body workouts. Both are optional, both happen on your phone, and you can withdraw either at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → BassState.
Do I need to log in?
No. There are no accounts. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to remember, and nothing about you on our servers.
